Directographer & Tour Manager

Nicole Davis is a Toronto-based directographer. Known affectionately to many as ND, she is a visual story-teller whose tools are her subject, her set, her camera, and her decisiveness. Nicole’s retro-surrealist aesthetic, and a keen eye for the moments-in-between, make her name synonymous with the push and pull of being all dressed up with nowhere to go.

From her first 35mm camera to a full-fledged career in photography, it was a swift jump that saw Nicole move to Arizona for a short stint, where she worked often with musicians and discovered her style in the stark contrast between scenic backdrops and poignant subjects. She developed an eye for unabashed expressiveness, which led her to an exciting run in the music industry as a touring and editorial photographer for renowned  artists including Grammy-nominated Tokimonsta, Joey Bada$$, Playboi Carti, ARI and Delaney Jane amongst others. As an editorial photographer her work has been featured in Wonderland Magazine, Paper Magazine, Billboard, GQ, The Eyes Fashion, C-Heads and many more. Aside from her status as a go-to creator for artists, she has lent her creative eye to campaigns for Remy Martin, Canon, Adidas, Under Armor,  Absolut Vodka and Glenlivet Scotch. As a creator, the marriage of these experiences set the stage for the high-concept curatorial work that is her forte.

Nicole’s creative approach is the key to her evocative work. Unafraid to test boundaries, her sets are a playground where she implores both her subject and her viewers to explore the insecurities that her work inherently asks: “Who am I? Who should I be? What happens next?”

In the space between opposites; light and dark, poised and spontaneous, youth and age, she artfully seeks to capture the euphoria of uninhibited emotion, and succeeds in committing to stills a subtle suspense that feels everlast.
